JCP Certified Public Accountants, PSC is a full-service accounting and consulting firm. We provide a full range of audit, tax, and advisory services, consistent with ethical and professional standards and regulatory requirements in Puerto Rico and the United States. We cater to a wide variety of clients ranging from individuals to medium-sized corporations. Our staff accountants specialize in tax incentives, estate and asset planning, trust and personal financial planning. Of course, in addition to our specialty areas, we also provide tax and accounting services, including tax planning, payroll tax return preparation, auditing, and bookkeeping.

Established in 1976

The firm was originally created by Juan Cruz , as a bookkeeping and tax services firm for small business in the western side of Puerto Rico.  In 1999, his son CPA Johnny Cruz became a part of the firm, and created JCP Certified Public Accountant, P.S.C., providing new services and expanding across the island.  JCP has become one of the top CPA firms in the western side of Puerto Rico. ​

CPA Johnny Cruz
President & Audit / Compliance Manager

CPA Johnny Cruz got his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration-Accounting from the Puerto Rico Interamerican University in 1997. He completed a CPA Internship from the University of Alabama in 1999, and obtained his CPA credential the same year.

​He has twenty-three (23) years of business experience, including two (2) in the banking industry, and has been part of the Mayaguez Chamber of Commerce, the Puerto Rico CPA Society & Tax Committee,  and part of the Board of Directors of the Workforce Investment Act Mayaguez-Las Marias consortium. 

Daisy Cortes
Vice-President & General Manager

Daisy Cortes has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico.  She joined the firm in 2008 and has become the leader of our staff and the face of the firm with our customers. 

​She has experience managing other professional offices, and is in charge of the overall customer satisfaction program, the firm human resources, and running the Payroll Department of our customers.

In addition, Daisy Cortes has an Education Degree from the University of Puerto Rico.

Yasmin Quiñones
​​Accounting & Tax Director

Yasmin Quiñones has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration-Accounting from the Puerto Rico Interamerican University.  She joined the firm in 2020 after being the local manager of H & R Block.  She also has experience managing hotels and other tax offices.  She is in charge of the overall Tax Department, and is the specialist for the Puerto Rico Tax Incentives under Act 60.
